Forging A
This is a Lagrangian model of a forging operation in plane strain. Calculation aborts with error due to negative volume of some elements.
Forging B
This is an Eulerian model of a forging operation in plane strain. In contrast to Lagrangian calculation elements stay well shaped.
Impact A
This models a water jet impacting a rigid plate. For the fluid-structure interaction an appropriate penalty stiffness is defined. The contact pressure is highly oscillating especially at the beginning and reaching an approximately stationary level later.
Impact B
This models a water jet impacting a rigid plate. For the fluid-structure interaction an appropriate penalty stiffness is defined. Damping is added to the fluid-structure interaction.
Point source
This is a model of a tank that is filled with an ideal gas. The keyword *SECTION_POINT_SOURCE_MIXTURE is used to shoot in more gas into the tank. The distribution of the generated gas and the temperature are stored in history variables #1 and #9, respectively.

File cylinder_impact_A.k contains an Eulerian mesh and a rigid plate.
Volume Fraction B
This is an Eulerian mesh and a rigid plate. The keyword *INITIAL_VOLUME_FRACTION_GEOMETRY is used to define a metal cylinder inside the mesh. The cylinder is assigned an initial velocity and impacts the rigid plate.
